Adolescents are at a curious and exploratory stage of life, approaching their reproductive years. Therefore, teaching sex education and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS, in schools and communities is key to preventing new HIV infections, fostering understanding, reducing stigma, and leading to a society that understands and accepts people living with HIV/ AIDS on an equal footing.
